Transport Poland–Germany

Whether it’s a full truckload or a few pallets, a fixed weekly schedule or a last-minute shipment: for your freight to and from Poland, you need a forwarder that thinks ahead. Excellence Global Logistics GmbH is your freight forwarder for all shipments between the two countries.

Many consignments between Germany and Poland feed directly into production lines. Delays have an immediate impact on manufacturing. That’s why we plan every shipment with fixed transit times where needed, and assign a dedicated point of contact who manages your consignment from pickup to delivery.

Suitable Modes of Transport

Road Freight

The majority of goods moving between Germany and Poland are transported by truck. Via the A2, A4, and A15 motorways and efficient border crossings, your shipments reach Poland’s key economic regions with short transit times. The A2 forms the central east–west corridor toward Poznań and Warsaw. The A4 serves the Silesia industrial region, and via the A15 we connect the greater Lower Silesia area.

We operate this lane daily and offer full truckload (FTL), less-than-truckload (LTL), and groupage services. For tightly scheduled supply chains, we organize just-in-time transports with guaranteed delivery windows.

If a production line goes down waiting for a spare part, we handle direct runs with short-notice dispatch and pickup in under 60 minutes — getting your urgent shipment to your facility without routing through a consolidation hub.

Air Freight and Express Services

Air freight is a specialist segment on this lane. It’s used for spare parts with tight delivery windows, medical devices, and high-value goods. The main cargo airports on the Polish side are Warsaw Chopin (WAW) and Katowice-Pyrzowice (KTW).

For the aviation industry, we handle AOG (Aircraft on Ground) shipments when an aircraft is grounded awaiting a critical part. These transports are managed with the highest priority and the fastest available routing.

When standard air freight isn’t fast enough, we book the next available flight (Next Flight Out) or deploy an on-board courier to personally accompany the shipment.

Industries on the Germany–Poland Lane

Freight traffic on this route is concentrated in a few high-volume sectors. Each has its own requirements for on-time delivery, handling, and documentation.

Automotive and Supplier Parts

Poland is a key manufacturing and supply base for the German automotive industry. Body parts, interior components, and technical systems flow daily toward Germany, while machinery and control units are shipped to Polish plants. For these supply chains, we organize just-in-time transports with guaranteed delivery windows.

Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Equipment

Machinery, plant equipment, control cabinets, and electrical components are among the most important goods on this lane. We transport them as individual shipments as well as part of regular series transports between German and Polish sites.

Furniture and Consumer Goods

Germany is a major buyer of Polish furniture. From production clusters in Silesia and Greater Poland, furniture, lighting, and home furnishings reach the German retail market. We set up these transports with the careful handling that fragile goods require.

Chemicals, Plastics, and Pharmaceuticals

Plastics, chemical products, and pharmaceutical goods move in both directions — as industrial inputs and as finished products for the healthcare market. Complete documentation and, where required, an unbroken temperature-controlled chain are essential here.

Metals and Semi-Finished Products

Steel, copper, semi-finished metal products, and construction materials are important Polish exports to the German construction, metalworking, and electrical industries. Loading requirements and vehicle selection need to be planned in advance, so early dispatch coordination is standard practice.

Trade with Poland Continues to Grow

In 2025, Poland was Germany’s fourth-largest export market, after the United States, France, and the Netherlands.

By total trade volume — exports and imports combined — Poland ranks fifth among Germany’s trading partners in 2025, at €180 billion, just behind France.

Both exports and imports grew in 2025 compared to the previous year. In the first half of 2026, imports declined slightly, while exports continued to increase. Total trade during the January–May period increased by €2 billion compared with the same period of the previous year.

Behind the figures lies a deep industrial integration that has developed over many years. Polish plants today supply components that go directly into German finished products — from individual parts to complete assemblies.

For you as a shipper, this means a stable market with high shipment frequency and predictable volumes.

Poland also functions as a logistics hub for Central and Eastern Europe. If you supply markets in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, or the Baltic states, part of your freight will already be moving through Polish hubs. Several countries can often be served on a single truck.

The trend continued into early 2026. From January to May, total trade volume reached €77 billion, up from €75 billion in the same period the previous year. The increase was driven by German exports, which rose from €41 billion to €44 billion.

For shippers on this lane, Excellence Global Logistics brings the experience and an established network in German–Polish freight traffic.
