Steffen Eifert, Head of Operations
In 2023, the transportation market between the United States and Germany is much better than in previous years.
Since the beginning of the Corona pandemic, the prices of transports had increased more than fivefold in some cases.
Sea Freight – In 2023 prices for sea freight to and from the USA have fallen significantly. Rates, while still more expensive than before the Corona pandemic, are now well below the peaks of the past three years.
Congestion at ports has eased. Pre- and post-carriage (which had bottlenecks for many months due to staff shortages and strikes) has also improved.
Air Freight – Air freight rates have also been cheaper and there is currently enough capacity for your cargo.
