How much does an On Board Courier Service cost – and what does the price depend on?
On Board Courier (OBC) service costs typically range from €2,000 to €8,000, depending on the destination and complexity of requirements. While this may seem high at first glance, the cost quickly becomes reasonable when weighed against the expenses of production downtime or lost business opportunities.
The price consists of several components: flight costs for the courier (often business class for long-haul routes), courier fees, potential visa and overnight accommodation costs for long-distance shipments, local transportation costs (taxi, rental car), and our service fee for organization and coordination.
Key cost factors include: distance to destination (intercontinental routes cost more than European destinations), urgency level (same-day service costs more than next-day delivery), day of the week and time (weekends and holidays increase pricing), and special requirements such as accompanying documentation or enhanced security measures.
As an experienced air freight forwarder, we’re happy to provide you with a transparent, no-cost quote with no hidden fees – often within 30 minutes of receiving your inquiry.
